The General Assembly of the United Nations ,held on 25-25. September 2015 in New York, U.S., adopted the new Agenda for the sustainable development.
This time is the last meeting before the annual Climate Summit, held in different cities in every year. This year's upcoming event will be held in Paris, France.
Mogens Lykketoft, the President of the 70th General Assembly (middle of the pic), told, 'yet never before have we been at greater risk of fundamentally disrupting the basic living conditions on our small globe.'
Challenged the United Nations to generate the political will to end conflict and poverty and invest the trillions of dollars that will be needed to build a sustainable global infrastructure over the next 15 years.

The UN Developing Programme will support the governments over th world to apply the goals in their countries in the next 15 years.
17 new goals were defined, their name from now 'Global Goals'.
For example, the goals are: health care, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, climate change, sustainable cities, etc.
'Ours is the last generation which can head off the worst effects of climate change and the first generation with the wealth and knowledge to eradicate poverty' Helen Clark, chair of UNDP, said.
To raise awareness around the newly adopted SDGs, UNDP is holding Social Good Summits in more than 100 countries, running parallel with the Sustainable Development Summit. UNDP will use the Social Good Summit’s platform and audience to help governments and partners around the world launch the SDGs and help make the new Global Goals a household name everywhere.
